| Brian is the Director of Instruction for the Golf Academy of Three Rivers Park District and the Programming Director for The First Tee. He oversees all of the Park District's adult and junior golf programs. Brian is a Class A Member of the PGA and has worked for Three Rivers Park District for nine years. In that time, he has given thousands of lessons to golfers of all ages and abilities. Brian was fortunate to learn the game from one of the top 100 instructors in America. Brian is passionate about The First Tee Program, and thoroughly enjoys teaching juniors golf and life skills as a recognized First Tee Coach. Brian was nominated for the Minnesota PGA's Junior Golf Leader Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2005, Brian was awarded the Totally Awesome Coaches award for August by 3M, The Minnesota Twins and Hennepin County. |
| Teaching Philosophy: |
| Brian's teaching philosophy is based on making learning fun and motivating students to set and reach their goals. His focus is on the fundamentals with every level of golfer. These fundamentals help create a swing that will not break down under pressure, and one that achieves a consistent and repeatable ball flight. Brian teaches the entire game of golf and emphasizes the short game and mental side of golf with every student. Brian believes that everyone has a good swing in them. Brian's students range from new golfers to club champions. Brian uses the V1 video system with the majority of his students. As the leader of the Golf Academy, Brian works hard to ensure that Golf Academy participants have a great experience while learning the wonderful game of golf. |
